It is with great sadness that we recall the death of Councillor Malcolm Woollard who was a dedicated servant of the local community and representative of the Liberal Democrat cause.

He was a well respected District and Parish Liberal Democrat councillor who was diligent and determined when carrying out duties.

Never afraid to speak his mind, Councillor Woollard's persistence as chairman of the Roding Centre Working Group helped saved the building for the community.

More recently he worked unpaid as project manager. It is fitting that the building was renamed the Woollard Centre to commemorate the dedication and commitment of this remarkable man.
