Liberal Democrat run Buckhurst Hill Parish Council has unveiled a massive cash boost to upgrade the Roding Centre.

Buckhurst Hill Parish Council saved the centre after the Tory-run county council put the site up for sale.

Now, after years of neglect by the county council, the Parish Council has published plans for a major refit.

Councillor Malcolm Woollard said: "The Roding Centre is a vital community asset. The planned improvement will ensure the centre can be used for the maximum benefit of the residents of Buckhurst Hill"
