Cllr Ann Haigh

Biography:Ann Haigh has been a Buckhurst Hill West District Councillor for 10 years. From 2001 to 2005 she was also Essex County Councillor for Buckhurst Hill. She has worked tirelessly to protect the town against inappropriate development and has championed many local causes including Bedford House community centre, road traffic and parking problems. She is a working professional administrator and has vast experience of local government and how to deal with bureaucracy. She wants you to re-elect her so that she can continue the good work.

Biography:Peter Spencer is a very experienced councillor and has worked hard to represent residents and take up local people's concerns. He represented Grange Hill ward as a District Councillor from 1994 to 2002 and has been a Buckhurst Hill Parish Councillor since 2002.

Cllr Jon Whitehouse

Biography:Jon Whitehouse was elected as district councillor for Epping Hemnall in 1999 and was re-elected in 2002 and 2004. He leads the Liberal Democrat Group on Epping Forest District Council and chairs the Finance and Performance Management Scrutiny Panel which keeps an eye on council spending and standards of service. He is also a member of the Area Plans sub-committee for Epping and area. Jon was Leisure and Young People portfolio holder for three years and was previously a member of the Transportation Committee and Resources Committee. He has taken up many issues for local residents including planning issues, parking problems and improving services for younger people. Current priorities including pressing Essex County Council to improve the maintenance of local roads and pavements. Jon served Epping Town Council [www.eppingtowncouncil.gov.uk] for 12 years. He is a committee member of the Friends of Swaines Green [www.swainesgreen.org.uk] and a member of various other organisations including the Epping Society and Friends of Copped Hall.
